INTERFEST-BITOLA PIANO COMPETITION
The seventh International Piano Competition for performing pianists will take place in the Institute Museum Bitola from October 6th through 8th, 2012. The competition is open to participants of all nationalities, born 1981 or after.
REGULATIONS
1. All pieces must be presented by memory.
2. Pianos for rehearsals will be available in rotational scheme.
3. Members of the jury may not evaluate competitors that are, familiarly or professionally, related with.
4. The jury may interrupt any performance that exceeds the time limited.
5. Competitors who do not reach the 2nd and 3rd stage may request a certificate of participation.
6. The jury may decide not to award all prizes; the jury's decision is final.
PROGRAM
FIRST STAGE (eliminatory):
J. S. Bach, Prelude and Fugue in 4 voices ("Das wohltemperierte Klavier”)
One Etude by Chopin or Liszt,
One virtuous Sonata by Scarlatti.
SECOND STAGE (eliminatory, 40 -45 minutes):
One of the more demanding Sonatas of 18th, 19th or 20th Century
(Beethoven and after),
Major Piece(s) of different periods, chosen by the participant
THIRD STAGE – FINALE
Concerto by: Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Grieg, Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Prokofiev
AWARDS
First Prize: 1.000 Euros
Recital at Interfest-Bitola 2013
Second Prize: 600 Euros
Third Prize: 300 Euros

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG PIANISTS
The 7th International Competition for Young Pianists will take place in the Institute Museum Bitola, from October 6th through 7th 2012.
The competition is open to participants of all nationalities.
CATEGORY A: competitors born after 1st January 2003;
CATEGORY A1: competitors born after 1st January 2000
CATEGORY B: competitors born after 1st January 1998;
CATEGORY C: competitors born after 1st January 1996
CATEGORY D: competitors born after 1st January 1993
CATEGORY E: competitors born after 1st January 1989
The competition will be consisted of a single stage.
PROGRAM
CATEGORY A: (7 minutes):
One piece of J.S. Bach;
Two or more pieces chosen by the participant.
CATEGORY A1: (10 minutes)
J. S. Bach: Small Prelude
One Etude,
First or Third movement of a Sonatina,
One or more pieces chosen by the participant.
CATEGORY B (15 minutes):
J. S. Bach: Invention of 2 or 3 voices,
One Etude,
First movement of Sonata (by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven)
One or more pieces chosen by the participant.
CATEGORY C (20 minutes ):
J. S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue from “Das Wohltemperierte Klavier”
One Etude,
First movement of a classical Sonata
One or more pieces chosen by the participant.
CATEGORY D (25 minutes):
J. S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue
One Etude by Chopin or Liszt
First movement of a classical Sonata
Pieces chosen by the participant.
CATEGORY E (30 minutes)
J.S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue in 4 voices
One Etude by Chopin or Liszt
L.V. Beethoven: One important Sonata
AWARDS
A, A1: First Prize: 80 Euros;
B, C: First Prize: 100 Euros;
D, E: First Prize: 120 Euros
All participants will receive diploma.
